The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in the Australian city of Sydney. This magnificent masterpiece was conceived and built by Danish architect Jørn Utzon. The Sydney Opera House, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, is situated on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It sits at the northeastern tip of the Sydney central business district (the CBD), surrounded on three sides by the harbour (Sydney Cove and Farm Cove) and neighboured by the Royal Botanic Gardens.

La Scala is a world renowned opera house in Milan, Italy. The theatre was inaugurated on 3 August 1778 and was originally known as the New Royal-Ducal Theatre at La Scala. The premiere performance was Antonio Salieri's Europa riconosciuta. Most of Italy's greatest operatic artists, and many of the finest singers from other nations, too, have appeared at La Scala during the past 200 years.

In our appointment of the Theatre of the Month review, we will by flying to England and it’s capital city: London. Whoever goes to London, cannot absent himself from watching a musical in one of the various theatre spread across the whole city and today we will be visiting Her Majesty Theatre, which hosts Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterpiece, The Phantom of the Opera.

Teatro Colón (Theatre Columbus) is the main opera house in Buenos Aires, Argentina and it is considered as one of the top five opera houses in the world. This theatre was inaugurated on May 25th 1908, Dìa de la Patria (National Day) in Argentina, with Verdi’s opera Aida by the Italian company directed by Luigi Mancinelli.
