For the third consecutive year, the Xewkija Local Council and Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija are presenting FIDWA.
Lent will soon be reaching its climax with the Holy Week celebrations, followed by the Resurrection on Easter Sunday, the biggest feast in the Church’s calendar.
But before we celebrate the rise of Jesus Christ from amongst the dead, we will also be commemorating the passion and the crucifixion of our Saviour.

Rehearsals for Irjieh Siekta are underway under the direction of Ms Maria Mercieca.
Maria is a familiar face with Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija and Teatru Govanni followers as from a tender age she has been rehearsing in a large number of productions. She has also a vast experience elsewhere such as Drama Courses in Valletta.
Don't miss the appointment with Irjieh Siekta on the 14th and 20th April. |

Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija are pleased to announce that they will once again host Kumpanija Teatrali Dun Mikiel Xerri of Haz Zebbug for their new production Il-Kunjata tal-Ministru, a 3-act comedy written and adapted to stage by Carmelo Debono.
If you want to enjoy an evening of laughter, join us on Saturday 23rd February at Teatru Govanni at 7.30pm and you will not be disappointed.

On Saturday 24th November 2012, Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija hosted in Teatru Govanni, the village of Xewkija represented by the Xewkija Local Council who held the annual Jum ix-Xewkija event in which Gozo College Xewkija Primary students had the opportunity to show off their writing skills in a short essay on our village which were then read during the same event, together with a local band which played familiar melodies to entertain those present. Towards the end of the event, Mr. Mariano Pace, was awarded with the Gieh ix-Xewkija award which shows appreciation to the contribution towards our village.
