Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija has embarked on a new project.  Earlier this week, renovation works have begun on the stage of Teatru Govanni.  These works will mainly include a complete revamp of the lighting system on the stage's perimeter, new backstage lights and a new lighting system in the storage rooms.  These upgrades are being made ahead of the installation of a new stage lightning equipment.  Renovations  are being made on the walls around the stage, backstage and in the power room.  All areas will now be equipped with the necessary emergency lights, signs and other safety features.  This is an other project from a series of projects Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija is taking on the renovation of Teatru Govanni and it's premises.

On Friday 23rd December, members of the Zaghzagh section within Centru Parrokjali Xewkija, will be holding a Christmas concert for all the children of our village. This event will consist of several comical sketches, singing and other items, including bingo. Also refreshments will be served and Father Chritmas will be present to give out sweets to the little ones.  Join the Christmas spirit on Friday at 6.30pm and bring your children with you.

Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija would like to wish its members and all the persons from Xewkija a wonderful and peaceful Christmas and a brilliant start of a new year.

Last Sunday 3rd December, Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija were invited by Munxar Parish Centre to hold the commedy Il-Praspar ta' Pacikk f'Hotel Xewkija in their theatre situated in the Parish Centre.  A good number of spectators attended this production which encourages both parties for further exchanges in the future.  In fact this was not the first time that Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija held its productions in Munxar, as back in 2004 they presented Is-Sultan u l-Kaptan and also on that occasion the attendance was quite encouraging.
